Recusal of Judges from Hearing and Deciding a Case
Judges and lay judges shall be excluded from hearing and deciding a case if, in view of their relationship to the case, to the parties or to their representatives, there is reason to question their impartiality (Section 14 et seq. of the CCP). In such cases, the Supreme Court decides on the recusal of judges of the High Courts or judges of the Supreme Court [Section 16(1) of the CCP].
